General Warranty Terms & Conditions

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

These warranties should not be read as excluding, restricting or modifying your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

The benefits to a consumer given by these warranties are in addition to the other rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation to the goods and services to which the warranties relate. A consumer’s rights under applicable law prevail to the extent of any inconsistency between these warranty terms and conditions and the law.

Volkswagen 60-Day Policy

  • You, or a third party, did not cause the defect and did not fail to take reasonable steps to prevent the defect from occurring; and
  • Volkswagen has been given a reasonable opportunity to determine the root cause of the defect (including to confirm that a manufacturing defect rendered the vehicle immobile and no longer driveable within 60 days of the date of the purchase).
